History

This term we have been historians! We have explored the concept of power during WW2, specifically how the war impacted on the lives of local people in Somerset, the fear that they faced and their acts of honour and bravery. We have explored the cause, consequence and significance of the Blitz, evacuation and rationing to national and local history. We have shared wonderful independent homework tasks which ranged from models of aircraft and tanks to delicious war time cookery. To top it all off, South West Heritage Trust came into school for an action packed and immersive workshop that helped the children to understand the experience of local children during World War Two.
