Difficult Decisions!

This week in PSHE we have begun our ‘Celebrating Differences’ unit. We began by thinking about boys and girls and how stereotypes are formed. Our first activity was to sort some statements according to whether we ‘agreed’, ‘disagreed’ or ‘didn’t know’. Our statements included – ‘boys all like playing football’, ‘girls favourite colour is pink’, ‘boys tend to have long hair/girls tend to have short hair’. As you can imagine these caused quite a lot of discussion and we realised that actually it didn’t matter whether we were boys or girls – we can do anything, think anything and look any way we liked.!
