Our Vision

Meare Village Primary School Vision Statement

“Today a seedling-tomorrow a flower”

At Meare Village Primary School we aim to equip our pupils with the skills, knowledge and mindset to thrive and take on the world, to have successes today and be prepared for tomorrow.

Our four key principles underpin all that we do:

We Acknowledge The Value Of All Learning

We know that children develop at different rates. All areas of learning and development are equally important. We celebrate success by recognising and valuing every child’s contributions and personal achievements.

We Foster Positive Relationships

Our children learn to be strong, independent and active citizens of the world from the role models in their lives. We value positive relationships & support the mental health of children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community, knowing ‘it takes a village to raise a child.’

We Encourage Being Responsible For Our Environment

Every child benefits from creative outdoor experiences, which inspire, educate and nurture. We teach a respect for the natural environment so children can enjoy the physical, emotional and social benefits that come from having a connection with nature.

We Recognise Every Child As A Unique Child

Every child has a unique ability to become resilient, capable and self-assured. We employ an inclusive, holistic approach to each child, nurturing their academic physical and emotional needs.

Our Learning Values:

  • Be Resilient
  • Be Resourceful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Reflective
