Welcome to Seedlings
Seedlings is a class of Year 2 children.
In Seedlings we know that we are only just beginning a learning journey that will last a lifetime. We aim to provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment in which the children can develop good learning habits, nourish curiosity and develop critical thinking skills. With this in mind we value questioning and discussion to support the deepening of our learning. We believe that asking questions and discussing things we encounter is invaluable to make sense of the world around us.
Seedlings also promote a culture of being openminded and value the opinions and ideas of others. We celebrate that each of us in unique and that we all have a valuable part to play in the class, school and lives of others. We respect each other and feel safe to take risks and be bold. We also value a growth mindset approach. We are not afraid to make mistakes and use them to as a valuable tool to help us persevere and develop into more resilient and reflective learners.
