The children and staff came to school dressed in their pyjamas to celebrate a love of a bedtime stories and then took part in a number of activities throughout the morning. We started with a whole school assembly where every child and adult brought along their favourite book. We talked about why we liked particular authors and spent some time with our friends sharing our books. Then, back in the classroom, we completed a number of activities such as designing our own potato book characters, making bookmarks and designing alternative front covers for our favourite books.

Most importantly we spent a lot of time just reading for the pleasure of it and sharing our enjoyment of books with each other.
